Five ways we actually eat honey at home

I will not lecture you about ancient single-ingredient foods. Here is simply how a jar disappears in my house.
1. On the morning paratha
Crystallised sunflower honey, spread thick. My kids started this and now I cannot stop.
2. In warm (not hot) water
A spoon of tulsi honey in warm water is how my wife starts the day. Keep the water comfortable to sip: boiling water cooks the honey and wastes what makes it raw.
3. With curd and walnuts
Litchi honey over fresh curd with crushed walnuts. Two minutes, and better than most desserts.
4. Over cheese, when guests come
A drizzle of acacia honey over paneer or any soft cheese surprises everyone. Acacia stays delicate and never overpowers.
5. Straight from the spoon
The saffron honey never makes it to a recipe in our house. One spoon after dinner, and the jar is finished by month end.
A jar that gets finished is the only honest review a honey can get.
